As a child, you would always find Lisa close to horses. She and her sister Sarah lived and breathed horses for many years, spending most weekends immersed in 4-H and riding.
In junior high, Lisa moved from South Seattle to Snohomish. She graduated from Snohomish High School in 2002. Shortly thereafter, she met Dave Peck and they began dating. In the fall of 2002, she made the trip over to Pullman for her freshman year at Washington State University. During that year at WSU, she found the first of her two four-legged boxer babies, Toby. After one year in Pullman, the call of home and Dave was strong enough to pull her back to Western Washington, where she attended Everett Community College, eventually obtaining her degree in early childhood development.
With her degree in hand, Lisa first started at a home daycare facility in Snohomish and then landed at Kids N Us in Lake Stevens, where she was beloved by staff, children, and parents alike.
On August 26, 2006, Lisa married the love of her life. She, Dave, and their son Kyler soon thereafter welcomed Kaiden on October 7, 2007. In 2015, Milo, her second boxer baby, joined their clan, making their family complete.
After a number of years in the child care industry, she made a career change and became the first administrative staff at a small and upcoming local company, Sea Town Electric. She quickly became the heart and soul of this growing organization, choosing to remain here for the rest of her career.
In her free time, Lisa never sat quietly on the sidelines. She would take advantage of every opportunity to be outdoors, hike, play football, jump out or off of anything, go boating, dance, watch sports, drive anything with an engine at high speeds, wrestle, or hang out in the sunshine (only if it was 85 degrees or more). What she loved most was to be the loudest parent in the stands supporting her boys in football, basketball, baseball, and soccer.
Lisa began her long battle with brain cancer in 2012. She fought this fight tirelessly for nearly a decade, never complaining for a moment about this difficult journey. She even took it upon herself to quarterback Team Hope at the annual Seattle Brain Cancer Walk, successfully raising tens of thousands of dollars to support cancer research.
Lisa is survived by her husband Dave, sons Kaiden and Kyler, mother Kathy, father Paul, grandmother Rose, stepfather Mike, her siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, but most of all, by her enduring spirit of positivity and strength.
