Emma Schellhorn, born January 15, 2008, in Hanoi, Vietnam. She was the strongest, bravest, and willful young lady that passed suddenly on September 7, 2024, at the age of 16 due to complex medical conditions. Emma was a bright and shining light that was extinguished all too soon. From the moment Emma was adopted, we knew she was destined for great things and did not disappoint.
Emma loved art, anime, cosplay, video games, animals, makeup, shopping, and excelled in her home school setting. Emma was planning on going to culinary school after graduating from high school. We know that Emma would have made a wonderful cook/baker or artist had she had the opportunity. She would whip together some interesting concoctions in the kitchen along with drawing and painting.
Emma is survived by her parents John and Leanne Schellhorn, dogs Scout and Nestle, grandparents Lloyd and Theresa Teixeira, Sr. (Pearl City, HI), predeceased by grandparents Herlinda and Jack Eades, Kimberly Kaoihana (Pearl City, HI), Camille Abreu (Mililani, HI), Irene Tolentino (Ewa Beach, HI), Jerry and Bernadette Schellhorn (Phoenix, AZ), numerous cousins and extended family.

Missing you Always
You never said I’m leaving.
You never said goodbye.
You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.
In life I loved you dearly.
In death I love you still.
In my heart I hold a place that only you can fill.
It broke my heart to lose you, but you didn’t go alone.
A part of me went with you.
The day God took you home.
