He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Schilling Anderson and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tripp and Betsy Schilling. Growing up he was a boy scout and achieved the honor of Eagle Scout.
Steve graduated from Martinsville High School in 1966 and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Virginia Tech in 1973. While at Tech Steve enjoyed the good times and friendships he made with his brothers in the DKE Fraternity.
Steve had several career accomplishments during his life. He was a pharmaceutical representative for Diamond Labs. He furnished and designed office spaces. He owned and operated The Pro Shop in Martinsville where he made and refinished golf clubs. Later in life he began working on computers. He helped people buy and set up their home computers.
Steve was an avid golfer until health issues with his family limited his play. He also enjoyed his Hokie football. Steve was a sweet and loving soul. He was a super friend and loving husband. He valued life and lived each day to the fullest. He will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at McKee-Stone Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Roselawn Burial Park.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
