Josetta Lee Harris Thomas, 85, of Burlington, N.C. and formerly of Martinsville, Va. passed away Monday, April 8, 2024. She born April 2, 1939 in Eden, N.C. to Steven and Catherine Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Allen Thomas.
She is survived by her sons, Stuart Thomas (Mary), Duke Thomas (Andrea) and James Thomas (Judy); daughter-in-law, Deborah Barrett Thomas; grandchildren, Sera Emma Thomas, Leah Catherine Thomas, Stuart Lee Thomas, II., Emily Clair Thomas, James Barrett Thomas, Elizabeth Thomas Stamm, Drew Harris Thomas and Abby Lee Thomas,
Mrs. Thomas loved her family and was very proud of her four sons and all of her grandchildren. She loved to travel and had visited many countries.
Mrs. Thomas was a graduate of Drewry Mason High School. She worked many years as a receptionist for Dr. Marvin Midkiff, whom she thought a lot of. She later enjoyed a very successful career working as a realtor for Rives S. Brown Realtors and later for herself.
She was a member of the Martinsville Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Roselawn Burial Park.
