It’s been two years since my mom passed and it still hurts like 2 years ago. She was a dedicated worker and did the best she could as a mother. I truly miss you mom.

To Joey and family, I had known Anna Maria for many years. We started our friendship at Urgent Medical and Family Care. She was the hardest worker there. She put us all to shame. She was always available for the patients and physicians because that was her job. I was lucky to have Anna Maria join me at Guilford Orthopaedics 10 plus years ago. As a medical assistant to Dr. McKinley, she was the most positive, professional co-worker I ever had. Her patients loved her. Even when her illness started robbing her health her caring spirit for patients never left. Oh, if I could only be half the person Anna Maria was. I love you, Anna Maria and always will.

My deepest condolences and prayers to Anna Maria's family. Anna Maria was a great friend who was full of life. She is a testimony of strength, love, and is an inspiration to us all. She will truly be missed.

Anna Maria was such an inspiration to all of us here at Guilford Ortho.  Whenever I would ask her how she was doing she would always say "I'm ok."  She never sought pity and always smiled.  On some days she would come to work wearing her chemo bag and I would say, "Anna Maria, you are one the of strongest people I know."  Whenever I would feel like complaining I would think of her and say I WILL NOT complain.  If Anna Maria is not complaining how dare I complain.  I share in your sadness having lost my own mother to cancer in 2012 who coincidentally shares a birthday with Anna Maria.  In speaking with her I knew that she was ready to go and in typical Anna Maria fashion, wanted to make sure that all of those she left behind would be ok.  I love you Anna Maria and I will NEVER forget you.
