Mary C. Proper

Born on March 11, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William and Virginia Jackson and biological mother, Hallie Jackson.

Mary married the late David Proper in 1990, and they was together for 27 years before his passing.

Mary loved her plants and flowers, and enjoyed crafting, watching game shows and cooking. She was fantastic at solving puzzles. She was a Christian and attended Independent Bible Church.

She is survived by her children: Susan Miller (Eddie), Clarence Cole (Christie), and William Cole; grandchildren: DiAnn Miller, Danielle Puller (Arron) Shawn Miller (Lauren), Jadon Miller (Becca), Brittany Dietrich, Jeremy Cole, Angela Cole, and Matthew Cole; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister: Susie Etta Keys, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that loved her dearly.

In addition to her parents, biological mother and husband she was preceded in death by her half-sister, Cecelia Bales.

Friends and Family will be received at Rosedale Funeral Home on Thursday August 22, 2024, at 12 pm until the start of funeral services at 1 pm with burial to follow in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
