Lorraine Elizabeth Foster-Faircloth, affectionately known as "Ogie," passed away on October 10, 2024, at the age of 74. She was born on May 14, 1950, in Winchester, VA, and recently lived in Ranson, WV.
Lorraine was a warm and loving individual who dedicated her life to her family. As a devoted mother, sister, and grandmother, her proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her daughters, Jody Stanley, Connie Haynes, and Tammy Hughes, and her beloved grandchildren, including Keisha Kitts, Tyler and Taylor Stanley, along with several great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
She was known for her generous spirit, always putting others before herself, often giving even when she had little to spare. Lorraine was a faithful member of the Pentecostal faith, which reflected her caring nature and dedication to her loved ones.
An avid QVC watcher, Lorraine enjoyed cooking and loved the show "Cooking in the Kitchen with David." She found joy in collecting angels and spent many evenings curled up on the couch watching her favorite soap operas, including "The Young and the Restless." Music was also a significant part of her life, with Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn among her favorite artists.
Lorraine is survived by her sisters, Jean Housden, Peggy Crews, and Sina Stockman, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loring W. Foster and Ruby F. Hughes; brothers Larry, Garry, and Junior Foster; sister Bonnie Kackley; grand-children Justice and Constance Taylor and Trinity Taylor-Haynes, as well as her beloved daughter, Sherry-Lynn Hayes.
Lorraine's legacy of love and selflessness will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
