He was born on April 29, 1947 in Preston County, West Virginia and was the son of the late Everett and Elizabeth Richard.
Gary was an evangelist and a true believer who served the Lord in the Pentecostal Church. He was an entrepreneur, opening several businesses in his career, most notably Richard's Construction Company Inc. which operated in Carroll county Maryland for over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dotty Richard; children: Gary Richard Jr. and wife Mary, Patricia Flora and husband Michael; Grandchildren: Gary III and wife Laura, Carilynn, Alyson, Tessa, Charles; Great Granddaughter, Alexandria and his brother, Randall Richard and wife Melissa.
A time of gathering for Gary will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home on April 17, 2021 at 11 am until the time of the Memorial service at 12 pm. Inurnment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
