She was born on August 1, 1959 in Martinsburg, West Virginia to the late Richard B Weller and Geneva Shade Turner.
She was a class of ‘77 graduate of Martinsburg High School and was proud of being a Martinette as well as a bulldog. She always loved to sit on her porch on Friday nights and listen to the games and cheer them on from home. In the early 80’s she worked at High's and then part time at Charles Town Racetrack where she loved to dress up in her black dress and red heels just to take bets and count money before deciding to stay home full time with her two girls. She was a mother, a Mamaw, a wife, an Aunt Debbie, a friend, and confidante. She attended St. John’s Lutheran Church in Martinsburg and always was proud of completing catechism and we believe that was the foundation for the strong relationship with God she had.
Debbie was deeply loved by all and her family was her whole entire world ,she often referred to them as “10 squad”because they showed up everywhere as a group of ten. Debbie never met a stranger and she was a very wise, loyal, strong, intelligent woman. She was very opinionated but always spoke the truth and was usually right when she “had a feeling”. She was a rare woman and just simply impossible to forget especially her ability to make you laugh with her sarcastic quick witted ways.
She is survived first and foremost by her 10 squad which includes husband Glen, daughter Nikki & husband Dennis McClain, granddaughter Brittany “a. k.a. beauty spot,” grandson Brayden, daughter Jodi & husband Brian Bailey, grandson Koby, granddaughter Brianna, and she also leaves behind her sister Krista & husband Chester, Nephews Justin & Phillip, Niece Katie, her brother Scott Turner & wife Lisa, Nephew Austin, Nieces Alisha & Catherine, brother Dickie & wife Betty Weller, 4 great nieces and 1 great nephew, and also lifelong best friends Ken Lutz, Regina Yowell and many more.
She is preceded in death by paternal Grandparents Richard Weller and Alice Ann Dingler, Maternal Grandparents Harry and Eva Shade and Her Uncle Harry Shade, Jr.
A celebration of life memorial will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 2 pm at Rosedale Funeral Home.
