Born June 21, 1945 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late William and Pansy Toup.
David served in the United States Army during Desert Storm. He retired from the 157th National Guard Armory as a civilian worker. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed golfing. He recently became involved with the farm and helped with the animals.
He is survived by his children: David Toup II, Deanna Willis, and Debra Getts; his sister, Patricia Gregory; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Toup; three brothers; one sister; and two granddaughters.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 6-8pm at Rosedale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Panhandle.
