James Floyd Wilkey Sr.

Mr. Wilkey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many. He adored spending time with his loving wife and his grandchildren. He drove a truck for the past 43 years and worked for Whimpy Brothers, The Starette Trucking Company, Mabus Bros., Richmond County and McTier Trucking Company. Mr. Wilkey was currently employed by JFS Trucking Company. In his spare time he enjoyed singing karaoke, racing and wrestling.

Mr. Wilkey is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Wanda Wilkey; and siblings, Angela Wilkey, Gene Wilkey and Frankie Wilkey. Survivors include his loving wife, Janice Wilkey; children, David (Amanda), Angela (Darrell), James (Kimberly), Jaime (Justin), Kathryn Goodin; Shannon (Josh), Amanda (Clarence), Jimmy and Ej (Laura); siblings, Rhonda Corley, Kitty Wilkey (Mike), Lisa Boyd (Donald), Teresa Wilkey, Jimmy Wilkey, and Willie Wilkey (Dana), Laura Conner, Dwayne Wilkey (Leilani); 11 grandchildren and 2 special grandchildren, Paizeigh and Weston Logan; and 1 great-grandchild; and a special Aunt Bea and special cousin; Sharon Blankenship and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, May 16, 2022 at the funeral home.
