Walter was the loving husband of Ann Dean for seventy years. Proud father of Sheila Rosenbohm (Lionel). Papa of Spencer Rosenbohm (Julia). Extremely excited Great-Grandfather-to-Be of Baby Rosenbohm. Brother of Leonard Dean (the late Ann), Gary Dean, and the late Wynette Mayatt (the late Wayne). Brother-in-law of Lydia Parker (John), Margaret Trest (the late Edwin), the late Danvis Jones (Sue), Harold Jones (the late Sarah), Francis Jones (the late Marilyn), Bill Jones, Robert Jones, and Ronnie Jones (Pam). Dear friend of James Richoux (Norma), Jeremiah Breland (Marie), Stuart Sanchez (Dianna), and the late Jack Weigel (Sandi). He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other friends who will always cherish his memory, especially Zoey, his furbaby, who was always by his side.
Walter was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Masonic Order. He enjoyed travelling across the country in his recreational vehicle, reading, and keeping his hands busy by building anything from furniture to tools. Walter cherished animals, snow skiing, and working until the end. Above all else, Walter adored his family and his faith in Jesus Christ.
The family wants to extend their deepest gratitude to his sitter, Sandra Turcios, and to Foundations Hospice, particularly Raenell Carter and Tasheika Brown.
A celebration of Walter's life will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 10:30AM at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home. There will be a religious ceremony following visitation at 2:00PM.
