Valerie was a lifelong christian, a member of the American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary Post #222 since childhood, and a graduate of Immaculata High School Class of 1976. She worked for Sunrise Homes for over 30 years. She enjoyed many years of league bowling at Westside Bowling Alley.
Anyone who knew Valerie would tell you how much she loved her girls and Ronnie, and that she was an avid Saints fan. Family and friends were Valerie's passion and delight; she would do anything for them. She lived a very selfless and giving life, always putting others before herself. She always made sure that everyone was well taken care of. Any friend of hers was instantly considered family. Valerie loved to cook for her family and host many gatherings. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms. Her most requested dishes were spaghetti, roast, and cauliflower casserole. She was one of the most committed Saints fans that you would have ever met, even back to the "paper bag days". Hosting and attending "YaYa" parties always brought her such great joy. One of her favorite things to do was "vacation down at the Gulf of Mexico". She loved listening to music and reminiscing on her favorite memories.
