Terry Joseph "Sac-A-Lait" Quebedeaux, of Bridge City, Louisiana passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 26th, 2023, at the age of 70. Terry was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Jesse and Beulah Quebedeaux. He was married to his first love and the mother of his children, Susan Noel Quebedeaux before her passing in 1996. He was lucky enough to find love again, and was married for 17 loving years to Yvette Strata Quebedeaux. Loving father of Jerri Q. Blouin (Todd), Roxanne Q. Stanich (Charles), Jessica Q. Breaux (Gerard) and step father of Chad Duvernay (Jane), Monique Duvernay, Shane Duvernay (the late Tabitha), and Darin Duvernay. Proud Pee Paw & Paw Paw of Terri, Tori, Laneigh, Chase, Libbey, Catelyn, Cade, Brianna, Chloe, Mason, Dylan, Chase, Victoria, and great grandfather of Jacob "Trey" and Kingston. Brother of Debra Q. Barras (Butch), Michael Quebedeaux, and Lona Q. Salomon (Brian). Terry is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends who are left to cherish his memory.
Terry was a 1970 graduate of West Jefferson High School and went on to work for Southern Pacific Railroad where he became an Engineer. He dedicated his entire career to the railroad and retired from Union Pacific Railroad in 2008. Terry enjoyed many hobbies that included hunting, fishing, betting at the casino, and collecting. He collected various items that included firearms, silver dimes, coin purses, "grips", knives and especially wallets. He also held a special ability to buy and sell anything and everything. Terry valued his family time especially over a good meal at a restaurant of his choice, even if he just ate.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11:30AM on Friday, March 10th, 2023 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 146 4th Street in Westwego, Louisiana. A Memorial visitation will begin at 9:30AM at church and continue until the Mass time. Burial will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale, Louisiana.
