Rickey David Thiaville Sr., age 77, of Harvey, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, June 21st, 2022 surround by his loving family. Loving husband to Angelina "Angel" Bellipanni Thiaville for 51 years. Devoted father of Rickey D. Thiaville, Jr. (Angela) and Victor C. Thiaville (Melissa). Loving Poppy of Aidan, Abigail, Aubrey, and Grant who he loved dearly. Brother of Harold "Mike" Thiaville (Carroll) and brother-in-law of Olla Thiaville, John and Rose Mulligan, and Domino "Dee" and Karla Bellipanni. Rickey is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Rickey is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Grayce Thiaville, his brother Jody Thiaville, and his in-laws Domino and Conchetta Bellipanni.
Rickey was employed by Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission before joining the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department where he retired after 30 years of service to his community. After his retirement, Rickey dedicated his time to his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing games of Solitare and Casino on his iPad, and manicuring his lawn. Rickey was also a parishioner of both St. Martha and St. Rosalie Catholic Churches. He will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know and love him.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022 in Don Bosco Hall of Archbishop Shaw High School, at 1000 Salesian Lane in Marrero, Louisiana. Father Steve Ryan will officiate the Mass. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial visitation from 10:00AM until the Mass time. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
