Norris “Ronnie” Kraemer, Sr. passed away peacefully on February 28, 2021. Ronnie was born on July 13, 1932 to Joseph and Alice Kremer in Marrero, LA. Ronnie attended Immaculate Conception School and graduated from Marrero High School. Prior to enlisting in the Air Force, Ronnie taught dance at the Arthur Murray School of Dance where he mastered the Fox Trot, Waltz, and Tango. At 18 years of age, Ronnie joined the Air Force where he began a 35 year career with the 926 TFG AFRES Cajuns as an aircraft diesel mechanic. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant in 1991.
In 1957, Ronnie married the love of his life, Helen McElwee. Together they adopted two children: a son, Norris Jr., and daughter, Alisa. Ronnie and Helen were married for 62 years when Helen passed away in 2019. Ronnie and Helen loved to travel, to spend time at their camp with family and friends, and to go to the casinos on the Gulf Coast. The couple loved to help others and was always willing to take someone in to help them. Ronnie loved to tinker; he enjoyed not only fixing cars but anything that needed fixing. There was nothing that Ronnie was unable to fix.
