Louis Breaux

Louis A. Breaux, Sr. of Marrero, LA passed away on Tuesday, May 10, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Adlist Breaux for 67 years, he bravely fought pulmonary fibrosis until the end. He fathered two sons, Louis Jr. and Michael. He had four grandchildren, Corey, Jesse, Melissa, and Jacob, as well as a loving daughter-in-law, Dawn. He was a proud WWII Marine veteran, a devout Catholic, a former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, a man of strong faith and strong family values.

He was the last surviving member of a family of 9 brothers and sisters. He was also the last surviving member of Marine F Troop, Iwo Assault Squad.

He will be missed dearly by family and friends. His keen sense of humor and his wit and charm are endearing qualities he will always be remembered for, as well as for his kindness and generosity.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Visitation will begin at 8:30 AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Mausoleum. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
