Joseph Victor Thibodeaux

Joseph Victor Thibodeaux, age 66, a native of Westwego, and a longtime resident of Lafitte, LA, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 at West Jefferson Hospital. Beloved husband of Gaynel Danos Thibodeaux. Father of Martha Thibodeaux Lemoine (Rodney), and Marjorie Thibodeaux (Ernie). Brother of Justillia “Ann” Bowers and Cynthia Thibodeaux, as well as the late Rodney “Rocky” Thibodeaux Sr., Michael Thibodeaux Sr., and Loma Thibodeaux. Grandfather of Macie Lemoine, Jonette Lemoine, Ernie Melford III and Paige Thibodeaux, as well as the late baby Joseph Lemoine. Brother-in-law of Ina Danos Thibodeaux, Nettla Danos Gordillo (Jose), Jackie Thibodeaux, and Larry Bowers Sr. Son of the late Marjorie Bonamour Thibodeaux and Murphy Thibodeaux. Son-in-law of Jesti “Goose” and Miriam Danos. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Lafitte, on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM.
