Joseph Dufrene Jr. departed this life on November 2, 2016 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Brenda Trosclair Dufrene and former wife Beverly Dufrene; son of the late Joseph Sr. and Odile Dufrene, preceded in death by his brother Jimmie Dufrene; son-in-law to Joseph Trosclair (deceased) and Claudia Trosclair; father to Mark Dufrene, Burt Dufrene, Rhonda Dufrene White (Travis White), Angie Dufrene Laurent (Scott Laurent), Keela Danos Thibodeaux (Kermen Thibodeaux) Disia Danos, and Regina Tregre; grandfather to Duke Dufrene, Cameron White, Megan Montagnino, Shanna Thibodeaux Phillips (Eric Bourgeois), Misty Overby, Kasey Thibodeaux; great grandfather to Kerris Lirette, Nevaeh Bonck, Jasey Thibodeaux, Evan Phillips, Jacob Bourgeois, and Jordyn Bourgeois. Like a father to John (Boo) and Pam Ott, Godfather to Anthony Ott, Jimmie Dufrene Jr., Paul Catalanatto; close friends Francis LaPointe (Fido) and Marie Trosclair and son Flint Trosclair. Longtime employee at McDermott Industries and retired (2003) Pipeline Welder from Global Industries. Joseph (Jr.) loved his family, loved to go to the camp and fish, work in the yard, loved to show off his flowers, plants, and pineapples he grew, he was a big hockey fan. He also loved his dog Libby. We all loved to hear him say “Que Pasa” (what’s up) when he seen you or answered your call. He will be dearly missed. No services will be held, private family memorial only.
