Jerry "Duck" Joseph Chiasson

Jerry “Duck” Joseph Chiasson passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, in his Lafitte home at the age of 61. He was the beloved husband of Mildred Gros Chiasson for 16 wonderful years. He was the father of Jerry J. Chiasson, Jr., Raleigh Guillie, Jr. (Farrel), Christina Roark Bumgarden (John), Dolly Guillie LeCompte (Guy), Joshua Chiasson (Kristen), Jennifer Chiasson (Jerry) and Jadd Chiasson (Melissa). A proud grandfather of Draven, Donovan, Joshua, Jr., Kadence, Keely, Guy, Jr., John, Jr., Eric, Alaura, Gage, Nicholas, Alessandra, Landry, Lance, Andrea, Ethan and also the late Tanis and Kassi Shea. Son of the late Joseph Jerry Chiasson and Pauline Naquin Chiasson. He was the brother of Maurice, Jimmy and Scott Chiasson. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

“Duck” was a native New Orleans and a resident of Marrero & Lafitte for many years and a member of the Houma Indian Tribe. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, hunting, flea market and garage sale shopping, and spending time with his family and friends.

Relatives, friends and employees of Northrop Grumman/Avondale Shipyard are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Harvest Time Fellowship Church, 3401 8th Street, Harvey, LA (corner of 8th St. and MacArthur St.) on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM . Visitation from 9:00 AM until Funeral time. Interment will be private.
