James Homer Symington Jr

James Homer Symington, Jr., entered peacefully into heaven on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. He is survived by his wife Shawn Van Ness Symington of 9 years. Loving father of Jaison Symington and Tristan Symington. Son of Joz Ann Beal Burton, step son of George Burton and the late James Homer Symington, Sr. Brother of Debra Sargent (Robert), Evelyn Chitwood (Gary) and Jimmy Dean Gardner. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him.

Age 40, a native of Holland, Michigan and a resident of Belle Chasse, Louisiana. James worked for Survival Systems International of Kenner, Louisiana for many years. He enjoyed football, avid Saints fan, outdoors, worked on vehicles for his friends and mostly spending time with his family and friends.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Lakeside Hospice and Tulane Hospital & Cancer Center for their compassionate care given to James while in their care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 5:00 PM.
