Jalen Lawrence Grant entered peacefully into heaven on Thursday February 16th, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his parents, Wanda Dixon and Bert Grant Jr., Brother of Bennie Johnson III, Jasmine Leagea, Shamari Dixon and Jaden Dixon. Grandson of Ms. Berea Grant and Bert Grant Sr., and Sharon Walker and Warren Dixon Sr., He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, teachers, friends and classmates who will cherish his memory and miss him dearly. Age 9, a native of Marrero, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended Dufroq Montessori Magnet Elementary School in Baton Rouge. He enjoyed playing with his siblings and spending time with his family. A private memorial service for Jalen will be held at a later date. Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy.
