Herbert Joseph Badeaux

Herbert “Black” Joseph Badeaux went to meet the Lord on Wednesday, August 11th, 2021 at the age of 82. Herbert was a life-long resident of Westwego, Louisiana. He was the proud owner of Badeaux’s Superette in Marrero, for 47 years. Herbert was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Kermit and Louise Badeaux. Loving husband to Valaiporn “Timm” Semmeesook Badeaux for 11 years. Devoted and loving husband of the late Adelle B. Badeaux for over 50 years. Devoted father of Kurt J. Badeaux (Eloise M. Badeaux), Jeffery P. Badeaux (the late Toni D. Badeaux), and Tommy P. Lee (Vanessa A. Toups). Paw Paw of Raquel M. Badeaux, the late Natalie L. Davenport, and Nathan P. Badeaux (Brittan P. Badeaux). “Old Paw Paw” of Chase Reyes, Isabella Matrana, Ace, Colt, and Letti Badeaux, and Ty Lee. Brother of Earline Perry (Mack), the late Clara Bartolo (Dee), and Ernest Badeaux (the late Pat). Herbert is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Herbert was a traditional Louisiana sportsman, who loved hunting, fishing, trawling, cooking, eating, and a good card game. Losing Herbert is a loss to the community, where he loved to give, more than he loved to receive.

A private ceremony in honor of Herbert J. Badeaux will be held by his family at a later date.
