It's with heavy hearts that her family must announce the passing of 52 year old Elizabeth "Liz" Garcia. On April 13, 2020 their lives were forever changed in a way that things will never be the same. Liz will never be forgotten, The sun doesn't seem to shine as bright without her here. Liz lit up any room and found any reason to celebrate. Her infectious laugh would pierce your soul, so much so that if you've ever heard it, YOU STILL CAN. If you met her for even a moment you would remember her; she was truly unforgettable. Something about her made you want to be around her. She had a way of making you feel good about yourself. She was beautiful inside and out. If she loved you, she loved you hard and she loved you forever.
She began growing closer to God and stronger to her faith the last few years. God saw her hurting so much after losing her mom, whom she called her bestfriend; Elvira "Vera" Kuhn. It seems the Lord saw fit to wrap her in his arms and bring them together again to continue their journey in Heaven along with her father Joe Garcia and her step father Michael Kuhn. There is no doubt they are dancing, eating, laughing, and rejoicing together right now and all their hurt is gone.
Liz was many things to many people, but what she loved being the most was a Mom to her daughter; Erica Lynn Garcia and Meme to her 4 grandchildren; whom she refered to as Elizabeth, LeeLee, Bubbie, and Cheech (Jaydalynn Elizabeth Helmer, Jaylee Marie Helmer, Hunter Haze Plaisance, and Summer Rayne Plaisance). There is no doubt Liz will forever live on through them, her 3 siblings Abel Garcia, Mary Hampton, and Albert Garcia; many other family members Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, In-Laws; a multitude of friends she made along the way, and her church family. She loved animals and is sorely missed by her faithful protector till the end, her dog Marlie. Due to social distancing, a memorial to celebrate her life will be announced at a later date. Until then please consider sharing stories and fond memories with her online at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
