David Leon Pitre, of New Orleans, passed away on October 11, 2024 at age 50. David was the beloved son of Joan Pitre and the late Leon Pitre Jr.; grandson of the late Michael and Dora Dunne and the late Leon Pitre Sr. and Emily Pitre; brother of Chimene Pitre and Michelle (Andrew) Ryals; and uncle of Drew (Louise) Ryals, Abby Ryals, and the late Aaron Ryals.
David’s family will miss him immensely and remember him best for his love of dogs, unwavering devotion to LSU sports, and pride in his work. David’s life was enriched by numerous relatives, friends, and coworkers.
A Funeral Mass for David will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will remain private.
