Carlos Humberto Sosa II

Carlos Sosa, II, of Avondale, Louisiana passed away on November 11, 2024 at the age of 52. He was born in New York, New York to Carlos Sosa, Sr. and the late Wilma Sosa. He attended L.W. Higgins High School in Marrero, Louisiana. He studied engineering at the University of New Orleans.

He managed New Orleans Original Daquiris in Avondale, Louisiana for approximately 10 years. Carlos then worked for Royal Productions as a Special Events Coordinator for 20 years. As a Special Events Coordinator, he traveled all over the country, and loved every minute of it. Carlos loved to travel. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a collector of Comic Books.

Carlos was truly the nicest guy one could meet. He would drop everything when called upon to help someone. He was that guy – no matter the time, day, or need – he would be there for you. Everyone loved Carlos. He was a son, a brother, an uncle and a friend to everyone.

He was the oldest of four children. He is preceded in death by his mother Wilma “Mimi” Sosa and leaves to mourn, his dad Carlos Sr., his sister, Marissa Lopez (Hector); two brothers, Alex Sosa and Chris Murillo(Jamie); one nephew, Andrew Lopez; one niece; Isabella Lopez, and a host of other family.

A memorial visitation for Carlos will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Westside/Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, Louisiana 70072.
