

Ann Morrone DeSalvo entered peacefully into heaven on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 surrounded by her family. Devoted wife of the late Frank Joseph DeSalvo. Loving mother of Jo Ann D. Mattison (the late Ronald Mattison) of Marrero, LA, Thomas J. DeSalvo (Cynthia) of Houma, LA and Tina DeSalvo Callais (Corey) of Houma, LA. A proud grandmother of Frank J. Mattison (Martha) and Ronnie Mattison, Frank J. DeSalvo, Nikki DeSalvo Muskey (Chris), Harold “Hal” Callais (Kristen), and Nicholas Callais. Great grandmother of Natalie Mattison, Jacob Mattison, Hayden Muskey, Hannah Muskey, Molly Rae Callais, Harold “Trip” Callais, and Gregory “Grey” Callais.
Daughter of the late Nicolina Naclerio Morrone and Ferdinand Morrone. She is survived by one brother, Raymond M. Morrone of Greenville, SC and preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; Joseph Morrone, Charles Morrone, Teresa M. Moscata, Rose M. Souza, , Vincent J. Morrone, Mary M. Rizzo, Salvadore Morrone and Nicholas Morrone.
Ann is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 91, she is a native of Brooklyn, NY and moved to Louisiana after World War II after meeting her husband, Frank Joseph DeSalvo to Marrero, LA. She retired from the Jefferson Parish School System after many years.
Ann enjoyed spending her time traveling to visit her family across the country, bingo, dancing and just having a good time with family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 12:00pm. Visitation from 9:30am to funeral time. Interment in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA
