Mrs. Anita M. Schouest

Anita M. Schouest entered eternal rest on Monday, February 7, 2011 at the age of 95. She was the beloved husband of the late Dave Schouest, Sr. and the loving mother of Dave Schouest, Jr. (Judy) Donald Schouest (Linda) and Linda Tyson. She was the grandmother of Mary Percle, Donald Schouest, Jr., Lorrie Schouest, Brent Schouest, Todd Schouest and Scott Schouest and the step-grandmother of Bobby Bourgeois, Jr., and Vickie Lynn Bourgeois as well as the great-grandmother of 16. She was the daughter of Ulysse Bonamour and Coloma Savoie Bonamour and the sister of the late Odile Delhomer.

She was a recipient of the St. Louis Medal for her hardwork and partly because she was an active volunteer at Wynhoven Apartments for many years. She will be missed for her love of cooking and she will always be remembered for her joy of gardening. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Heritage Manor of Mandeville, LA as well as Wynhoven Health Care Center in Marrero, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at WESTSIDE/LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY, MARRERO, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 beginning at 11:00 AM and lasting until 12:00 Noon at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel.
