Anita Parria Rojas passed away peacefully on July 12, 2018 at the age of 83. Born in Lafitte, Louisiana on March 17, 1935 to the late Mitchell and Alma Parria, Anita was the devoted wife of over 50 years to the late Emile Rojas Jr. and a lifelong resident of Lafitte who retired after many years of dedication as a school crossing guard. She enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center, going on casino bus trips, and spending time with her family. Survived by her children, Colen Rojas (Linda), Carlton Rojas Sr., Justine Wade (Bill), Gaynell Melanson (Joey); Brother, Lionel “Bob” Parria; Twelve grandchildren, Courtney Matherne, Tiffany Land (Michael), Chaz Pizani Sr., Carlton Rojas Jr., Brittany Rojas Rooney, Dustin Rojas, Chance Rojas, Ryan Rojas, Shane Rojas, Brad Rojas, Brandon Nowlin and the late Nicholas Melanson; Seventeen great-grandchildren, Addisyn Matherne, Michael Land, Chaz Pizani Jr., Aiden Pizani, Lillie Rojas, Savannah Rojas, Carlton Rojas III, Brantley Rojas, Adelyn Rooney, Vivian Rooney, Averi Rojas, Caitlyn Rojas, Ellie Rojas, Nathan Rojas, Lia Rojas, Elizabeth Nowlin, Madison Rojas, and Mackenzie Rojas. Preceded in death by her two sisters Marion (Pete) Adam and Audry Scianneaux. Friends of the family are invited to attend a funeral mass at St. Anthony’s Church located at 2653 Jean Lafitte Blvd. in Lafitte, Louisiana on Monday July 16, 2018 at 11:00am. A visitation will be held from 6:00pm-10:00pm on Sunday July 15, 2018 at WESTSIDE LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME located at 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana and again on Monday July 16, 2018 from 9:00am-11:00am at St. Anthony’s Church in Lafitte prior to mass.
