Ulysses Sylvester Booher

Ulysess Sylvester Booher, 96, of Riesel entered in rest on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 15, 2024 in Riesel Cemetery with the Reverend Ron Oden officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home.

After a life richly lived in the farming community of Perry/Otto as an avid farmer. He received awards for outstanding Young Farmer for area VIII in 1964, he served on the board of Germania Insurance, local Chapter #1 from 1958 to 2002, he was a member of Farm Bureau since 1984 and served in several leadership positions. He was a member of Perry Methodist Church.

He married Patsy Ruth Neeley-Jahnke on June 23, 1973 and they celebrated over 33 wonderful years together until her death in 2006.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, son; Mark Booher and his wife, Samantha of Riesel, son; Paul Jahnke of Riesel, daughter; Anna Phillips and her husband, Tony of Daingerfield. Grandchildren; Matthew Phillips and his wife, Sunshine of Corpus Christi, Nicole Phillips of Corpus Christi, Brie Booher of Waco, Michael Martin and his wife, Shanicka of Troy, Cassidy Parker and her husband, Kyle of Westphalia, Haley Smith of Waco and Colton Smith of Riesel, 8 great grandchildren and two in the oven.
