Mary E. Welches, 90 of Markle passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Markle Health and Rehab Facility. Mary was a 1940 graduate of West Rock Creek High in Huntington County. She worked for Home Products Cabinet Co. in Markle for 10 years. She also worked as a book keeper for Minnick Services for 10 years. Mary also attended the Warren Church of Christ. In her free time Mary enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Mary was born on July 25, 1922 in Wells County, a daughter of Charles D. and Nettie B. (Osborn) Blair.
She was united in marriage to L. Wayne Welches on September 26, 1942 in Dunkirk, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2007
Additional survivors include two daughters, Phyllis (Bill) Rittenhouse of Markle, and Patty (Kenneth) Boots of Bluffton One Brother, Clarence D. (Sue) Blair of Markle. As well as Four Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by two sisters Lois I Mason of California, and Martha A. Fate Florida. And a Great Granddaughter Addison A. Stauffer
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday August 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana
Interment will follow at the Markle Cemetery in Markle.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made out to The Warren Church of Christ in care of Myers Funeral Home P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.
