Douglas E. Harmon

Douglas E. Harmon, 44 of Ossian passed away at 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at his residence. Doug was a 1986 graduate of Wayne High School. He worked for Harmon Concrete for many years and most recently was service manager for B&W Heavy Equipment in Fort Wayne. He was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed working on his 1967 Chevelle SS. He loved to fish and hunt.

Doug was born on November 7, 1967 in Fort Wayne, a son of Carl E. and Linda S. (Bowersock) Harmon.

He was united in marriage to Mary C. Kerns on October 9, 2000 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include a son: Christopher Harmon of Ossian; two daughters: Amy Harmon of Bluffton; Holly Rae Harmon of Ossian; a sister: Carolyn (Ty) Tigner of Markle; his parents: Linda Harmon of Ossian; Carl Harmon of Maryville, TN; a half-brother: Nick Harmon of Knoxville, TN and one grandson: Gavin Harmon.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.

There will be no funeral service.

Interment will take place at a later date at the Hoverstock Cemetery in Zanesville.
