Melvin Ray Riddle, 65, of Marion, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at Sunrise Rehabilitation and Care Center in Nebo. Born on April 1, 1948 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Roscoe C. Riddle and Ruth Wyatt Riddle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Willie Riddle, Billy Riddle, Calvin Riddle and Bobby Riddle. He is survived by his sisters, Glenda Hollifield of Hickory, Gloria Hensley and Donna Riddle, both of Marion; brothers, Ronnie Riddle, Eddie Riddle and Jimmy Riddle, all of Marion; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of McDowell County, 575 Airport Rd., Marion, NC 28752.
