Marcella Stevens Johnson

She was born December 31, 1917 in Mitchell County, NC to the late Baxter Clayton and Nellie Putman Stevens. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker which she took pride in. She also enjoyed canning and working in her yard.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Clifford Johnson; her son, Joseph Stephen Johnson; and seven siblings, Jack Stevens, Tracey Stevens, Brown Stevens, Marvin Stevens, Valerie Young, Marjorie Johnson and Margaret Stevens.

Surviving Mrs. Johnson are one sister-in-law, Hazel Stevens and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say “Thank You” to Hospice of Rutherford County for the special love and care shown to Mrs. Johnson and her family.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2015 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC with Bishop Lynn Young officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
