The world and the State of Georgia lost a fiine Southern Gentleman I knew David since Sandtown School,very smart,very funny,and very likes and loved by all,he could be counted on for just about anything. David was one of the first person I met when I joined Texas Commerce 
Bank. I was immediately introduced to his infectious smile, quick wit and his ability to put everyone at ease. He will be miss.

My husband Bill and I both worked with David at TCB.  David was a big man with a big heart.  We enjoyed seeing the photo gallery.  You can tell that he led a full life surrounded by people he loved and who loved him.  What a blessed life!

David was a Vice President at Texas Commerce Bank in Houston when I came to work there as a Trainee in 1979.  He always took time to teach us newcomers.  Once, when I wrote a loan presentation for him that was crammed full of facts, he told me that it was important to put context around them--were the results good or bad, important or insignificant?  I have never forgotten that important lesson, and always appreciated his generosity in sharing his knowledge with us.

Although the days were much too short,the love you and David shared is forever.

Mary, Estelle, and Children, I was privileged to have known David as a customer first at Bone's and Donlan and Greenbaum's New York Prime, and then as a friend this last decade as we discovered that we were born the same week in August 1950. I always liked to remind that he was three days older than me! The first week in August will be a sad time, but I promise a glass will hoisted with an appropriate toast to my friend David at our annual lunch with the much older Mark Haselton, by a decade. I will miss him terribly August 6th-August 9th!
