Bill was born at Fort Benning, Ga to William A Hobbs and Betty Wier Hobbs. He and his siblings grew up in the military and lived in several locales before settling in Alexandria, Va. where he met his wife, Debbie, and had his first child, Jeff. The little family moved to Marietta, Ga where they welcomed their second child, Josh and spent 42 years where he raised his family, built his career and legacy.
Bill was loved by everybody who met him with his kind, outgoing, humble demeanor. He was a simple man who did not want accolades or attention on himself. He never tried to impress people with his successes but lived his life content with who he was. He will be greatly missed!
A church service is planned at Mt. View United Methodist Church in Marietta at 11:00 on June 10th followed by the burial at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations in Bill’s memory to be made to the American Heart Association.
