He was born in Del Rio, Texas on December 14, 1966. As his father was an Air Force Lieutenant Colonel he moved to different states with his family and became active in baseball, bowling, hunting and fishing during his youth and developed a passion for golf later on. He was a South Carolina State Championship Bowler. Steven attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and received his MBA from Kennesaw State University.
He was married to the love of his life for just shy of 27 years. Rene’ surprised him with a vow renewal ceremony on their 25th Wedding Anniversary in Jamaica. Along with a beautiful bride came a wonderful son Joel, that he has proudly raised as his own. Then came along the gift of Madison who has been the light of her father’s eyes and beat of his heart. Then God blessed them again with the miracle of Jon Paul who has grown into a stellar young man, his father’s mini-me.
Steven worked for CIT Group for 18 years building a successful career while moving up to become the Senior Director of Corporate Finance concentrating in the Gaming Industry. He was born to play that role as he went to high school and college in Las Vegas. His clients and colleagues benefited from Steven’s drive, optimism, professionalism and friendship.
Steven loved to travel for work and pleasure. He loved the pink sands of Bermuda and tried to travel there as much as possible. He could always find a suitable golf course wherever he landed. He was an animal lover as well, big or small.
He will be remembered for his remarkable intelligence, quick wit, jovial attitude, handyman skills, compassion and the ability make anyone a friend. We will miss him greatly but he will remain in our hearts, always.
