Stanley Charles Elder, age 62 of Marietta, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. He is survived by his daughters, Haley Elder of Marietta, Julie Wilkin of Marietta; brother, Greg Elder of Newnan; sister, Susan Elder Tritt of Alpharetta; several nieces and nephews.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, he was born on January 18, 1957 to the late Charlie Tom Elder and Norma Ellen Holland Elder. A plumber by trade, Stan enjoyed the outdoors with such activities as playing Frisbee, fishing, walking along the beachside or mountain trails. He had a respect and love of his guns, spending time at the shooting range, but never a hunter because of his love of animals and nature. Stan didn't mind yard work evident by his beautiful yard and home on Stoney Brook Lane.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm, Memorial Service, Saturday, May 11th at HM Patterson and Son Canton Hill Chapel.
