Shelby R. Hill

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Hill was of Baptist faith. She was a graduate of Canton High School class of 1945. She was formerly employed by Dobbins Airbase and Lockheed Georgia. She was retired as a Real Estate Agent/Broker. Some of the things she loved were family, friends, going to the beach, traveling, dancing, reading, and working crossword puzzles.

Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Huffman and Deborah Hill-Sartain (Skip);Grandchildren, John Huffman (Jaime), Lori Garduque (Miles), Christy Dixon (Todd) and Shannon Stallard; great grandchildren, Emily and Marlee Huffman, Malia, Kaia, and Nani Garduque (with twins on the way), Steven Dixon (Fiancée Mollie Duff), Cole Flancher, Bre Dixon and Presley Stallard; sister-in-law, Judy Ingle (Jimmy); nieces, Jan Wilson (Al), Shirley Vandivere, and Angie Ingle; nephew, Mike Ingle; great niece, Lindsey Simpson (Ray Woody); great great niece, Grace Woody; several cousins; a host of “Family by Choice”; and many friends.

Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, John Cheatham Hill, Jr.; parents, Lucille and O.C. Reece; sisters, Sara Reece and Martha Baxter; son-in-law, Larry Huffman; niece, Sandra Baxter.
