Shawn Wade Smith, age 50, of Douglasville, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015. The best tree climber in Cobb County, he learned his craft by working with his father at Smith Tree Service before starting his own company, Tree Smith of All Trees.
Survivors include his sons: Maran Smith, Shawn Smith, Brandon Smith, and Dylan Smith, all of Douglasville, parents: Thomas and Margaret Smith of Douglasville, sister: Shaquetta Smith of Summerville, Grandchildren, Cali, Casi, and Ethan, Bobbie Jean Smith and Crystal Whitmore and her children: Aspen, Luke, David, Dawson, and Lacy.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 8 PM Tuesday at White Columns Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at White Columns Chapel in Mableton with Rev. Tommy Young officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
