Sarah Macomber Nicholson

Sarah Macomber Nicholson, age 83, of Marietta, GA passed away on September 19, 2023. She was born on January 31, 1940 in Toledo, OH to the late Charles and Sarah Macomber. Sarah graduated with an Associate Degree from Colby College in Maine.

Over the course of her life, she worked in New York City at Sloan Kettering, in Boston at the Children's Hospital, and volunteered at the Children's Home Society of California in Ventura, CA. In her spare time, she enjoyed being a grandmother, traveling, great food (with a good scotch), and spending quality time with friends and family. She lived an extraordinary life. For those who were blessed to have known her, she was the most generous and loving person. An icon as one of her dear friends mentioned. A true angel who will be missed greatly.

She is survived by her sister, Ann (Peter) Pappas; husband, David Nicholson; son, Rennie Nicholson (Melissa Evans); and granddaughter, Hannah Nicholson.

The family will receive guests between the hours of 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 1st, 2023 at the Nicholson residence in Marietta, GA for a celebration of Sarah's wonderful life.
