The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church in Kennesaw with a service following at 3:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
Mrs. McDaniell was born on August 2, 1920 to Margaret Stamstad Thompson and Adolph A. Thompson in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. She was active in all business activities with her husband while raising their three daughters. She was highly esteemed in her church, New Salem Baptist of Marietta.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh L. McDaniell of 66 years. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Marsha Faye Crowder and Charlie N. Crowder, Nancy Ellen Hester and Sam L. Hester, all of Cobb County, and Gail Marie Barton and husband, Col. (Ret.) H. H. Barton, Jr. of Virginia. She is also survived by two sisters, Verna Johnson and Joanne Capper, along with one brother, Allen H. Thompson, all of Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Marian was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
