Linda Marlow Tamburrino

Linda Allene Marlow Tamburrino, age 77, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Tamburrino, and her parents, Vivian and Doyle Marlow. She is survived by her sons, Mike Tamburrino of Lilburn, GA, Bobby Tamburrino and his wife, Jennifer, of Johns Creek, GA, her brother Wayne Marlow of Acworth, GA, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Linda was born June 11, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Murphy High School and graduated from East Atlanta High School in 1963. She went on to work at Georgia Tech in the Residency Administration Department and married Jim Tamburrino September 19, 1970.

Linda was heavily into athletics. She was on the varsity softball team in high school and bowled in several Atlanta-area leagues. She went on to play tennis at various levels in the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association.

She was an active member of East Cobb's Chimney Springs Homeowners Association and was the editor of the neighborhood newsletter for over twenty years. She was also an active participant in band parent associations for her two sons at Walton and Pope High Schools. Jim and Linda had passions for travel including RV camping and cruises.

Later in life, she enjoyed working as a legal assistant at an immigration law firm for 18 years before retiring in 2018.
