Jean Harbison, 93, died in Woodstock, GA on May 25, 2024. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin R. Harbison, in 2014. Jean is survived by her children, Susan Mayne (Terry) of Marietta, Georgia; Bruce Harbison (Rita) of Boone, North Carolina and Lisa Anderson, of Maple Valley, Washington. Jean was the loving grandmother to Lara Jackson (Shane), Patrick Mayne (Kyle), Michael Mayne (Christie), Austin Harbison (Mark), Abigail Brautigam, Addyson Brautigam, and Keith Sabanosh (Ashley). She also adored her great-grandchildren, Kate, Noah, Finn, Milan, and Jordan.
Jean was born in Spring Valley, New York on August 9, 1930 to William and Mary Fedorovich. She had a brother, Walter Fedorovich, (1923 -2007). She graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1947. Jean met her life long love, Frank Harbison, at a roller rink in Paramus, New Jersey, after high school. Jean and Frank were married in 1951. While She focused on raising her children, she also was a successful executive assistant and word processor. She retired from her position as executive assistant from Kratos Analytical in Ramsay, New Jersey. Jean and Frank enjoyed their later years as residents of Treasure Island, Florida living out their beach and waterfront dreams. They moved to Georgia to be closer to their daughter in their later years.
Jean spent the last years of her life showering everyone she knew with her talents in needlework, knitting, and painting. She loved cross stitch and creating favorite holiday decorations for the generations of her loved ones. A Celebration of Life for Jean will take place in the coming months.
