Mr. Jack Dempsey Hendley, age 89, of Powder Springs, passed away May 18, 2011. Jack was born in Nashville, GA to the late Willie Hendley and Lottie Roberts Hendley, and he was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 49 years, Mary Nell Hendley, and his daughter, Ann.
He is survived by his daughters, Jean Mauney, Alice Caskey, Brenda Miller; sons, David Hendley and DeRoy Moon; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a brother and sisters; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 21, at 1:00 PM in Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Snyder Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Sandy Springs UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
