Jack Herald Dehart

Mr. Jack H. Dehart, age 73 of Marietta, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011. A native of Wilburton, OK, Jack served in the U.S. Air Force. He then worked in real estate and owned his own mortgage company, Mackenzie Financial. He retired from the Bank of North Georgia Mortgage division in 2004. In retirement, Jack enjoyed working as a driver for Enterprise Rental. He enjoyed the laughter and camaraderie of his friends. Jack was an author, completing his first book about what he felt to be the most important things in life. He was beloved by family and friends, touching many lives in a positive way. Survivors include his wife, Diane Dehart; sons, Jay Dehart, Lon Wheelock (Linda); daughter, Deanna Gallagher Richards (Doug), step-daughters, Shara Casella and Lindsay Casella-Nearing (Robert); grandchildren, Emma Gallagher, Seth Wheelock, and Abby Wheeler; three great-grandchildren; sister, Ira Faye Robnett. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 28th at 11 am in the chapel at H.M.Patterson & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-6 pm at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Jack’s name.
