George Pete "Pete" Brock

Mr. George “Pete” Brock, age 73 of Marietta, GA, son to the late Reese and Ruby McClain Brock, passed away July 26, 2011. Pete was a native of Anderson, SC. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. He was an industrial engineer for many years before becoming a partner in a Woodstock, GA manufacturing company until his retirement. Before his illness, he served as an elder at Mt. Paran North Church of God. Pete is survived by his wife Barbara Powell Brock, daughter Robin Lyerly and her husband Bobby and grandchildren Reece and Jordan Lyerly. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11:00am at Mt. Paran North Church of God. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 11:00am at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Abbeville, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pete’s memory to the Mission Fund at Mt. Paran North Church of God, 1700 Allgood Rd, Marietta, GA 30062.
