Gary Symington Parker

Gary Symington Parker, 73, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on April 16, 2017. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 3, 1944. Gary graduated from Division Avenue High School in Levittown Long Island, NY in 1962 and received a BBA from Hofstra University, NY in 1967. He had a career in retail management at Rich’s and Sears. Gary was a member of St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church and Choir as well as the School Crossing Guard at Dodgen Middle School. He had a passion for sports, cigars, and he delighted in his family. Gary is survived by his wife of 23 years, Brenda Williams Parker; children, Deana Cole (Joe), Dawn Lyon (Casey), and Danielle Courtney (Steve); and grandchildren, Parker Cole, Jay Cole, Robynn Cole, Will Cole, Brayden Lyon, and Brooks Lyon. Funeral Services will be held at St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 3:00PM.
