Garth Patrick Patterson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Garth Patrick Patterson, who was born on June 16, 1961, in St. Catherine, Jamaica, and peacefully left this world on October 23, 2024. Garth was a devoted husband and a loving father, cherished by his wife, children, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. His family was the center of his universe, and he dedicated his life to nurturing and supporting them. His warmth, generosity, and profound love for those around him left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Garth grew up in Spanish Town, where he developed strong values and an impressive work ethic. He attended St. Jago High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management from the University of the West Indies.

His professional journey included significant roles at several esteemed organizations, such as Seprod Jamaica Ltd., Alcan Jamaica Ltd., Nestle, Jamaica Citrus Growers, and Grace Kennedy Jamaica Ltd. After relocating to the United States, Garth continued to excel, holding positions at Holiday Inn, Omni, and Gallagher Bassett Insurance Agency.

A funeral ceremony will be held on November 9, 2024, at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home, located at 3940 Macland Rd SW, Powder Springs, GA 30127. The service will begin at 12:00 PM, with a viewing starting at 11:00 AM. Following the ceremony, Garth will be laid to rest at Kennesaw Memorial Park, 1306 Whitlock Ave, Marietta, GA 30064.

Garth’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
