Charles Robert (Bob) Cutcliff was born December 3, 1936 and died peacefully in his home on December 21, 2020. Bob was a native of Atlanta and the third son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Cutcliff Sr.. He was preceded in death by his two brothers (and sisters-in-law), John F. Cutcliff, Jr. (JoAnne Lyle Cutcliff Lane) and James R. Cutcliff Sr. (Anne Nicholson Cutcliff).
Bob is survived by 4 nieces (Cathy Miller, Suzanne Shumway, Anne Marie Cramer and Holly Elizabeth Cutcliff) and 5 nephews (Mike Cutcliff, James R. Cutcliff, Jr., John Cutcliff, Bruce Cutcliff, and David Cutcliff), along with their families residing in California, the DC area and Atlanta. Bob has 22 great nieces and nephews and 13 great-great nieces and nephews.
Bob attended grammar school at Samuel M. Innan Elementary and Sacred Heart in Atlanta. He graduated from Marist High School in 1954 and from the University of Georgia in 1958. Bob retired from Delta Airlines/Worldspan after 37 years of service. He was grateful to Delta for the wonderful friendships made throughout his career and the many travel advantages.
Bob’s favorite pastimes included watching the Atlanta Braves and cheering on his beloved Georgia Bulldogs. He will be remembered for his exceptional kindness, his gentle spirt, his love of family, and dedication to his faith.
Bob was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Marietta for more than 35 years. There will be a visitation at Patterson’s Funeral Home in Marietta on Tuesday, January 5 from 5-8 pm (limited to 10 visitors at a time). A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Marietta on Wednesday, January 6 at 11 am (limited seating) with a burial immediately following at Crest Lawn Cemetery (immediate family only). In lieu of flowers, Bob requested donations to the Cobb County Mental Health Association, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Home or Holy Family Catholic Church.
